Verbal Treatment- The Adventures of Oswald and Excalibro
-Opening establishing wide shot, tilt down from a shot on the rising sun to the silhouette of Oswald as he walks down a path out of the forrest. In the distance a small village can be seen.
-Cut to a side-on long shot of Oswald, still mostly silhouette, and he can be heard speaking. At this point he appears to be speaking to himself.
-Cut in closer, a medium shot of Oswald. All of his features can now be seen. He asks "Where are we going now?" and an angry voice can be heard saying "That village up ahead, you idiot! Do you see anything else around?"
-Front shot of Oswald as he draws his sword, speaking directly to it. They argue for some time in this shot.
-Cut back out to a wide crane shot from above and behind the two, their arguing can be heard as they disappear off toward the village.
-Crane down to the inside of the village. The two enter the frame moving toward the camera, still arguing. A man steps into the shot, his back to the camera, blocking all view. We hear "You! You are a traveling hero aren't you?!"
-Cut during the dialogue to the front of the mans face. It is the leader of the town.
-Medium shot on Oswald, surprised and stammering "I-I'. Before he can speak Excalibro answers "Hell yeah!"
-Medium shot over Oswald's shoulder as the town leader explains the situation.
-Medium shot over the town leader's shoulder. Oswald draws his sword and has a half-whispered argument with it. He finally looks back up at the town leader and says slowly "A-alright. We shall slay this o-ogre for your town."
-Exiting drums or some other music cues a transition to a full shot from behind Oswald as he hacks through a thick forrest with Excalibro. The two can still be heard arguing to each other.
-Close up on Oswald's face, showing his exertion and his fear as he chops through the forest.
-Wide shot in a clearing. Oswald and Excalibro emerge from the side opposite of the camera. The arguing can be heard before the two appear. As soon as they enter the clearing, they both go silent.
-Cut to a medium shot taken from between Oswald's legs. A massive ogre can be seen standing on the opposite end of the clearing.
-Long shot that shows the whole clearing, The ogre at one end and Oswald on the other. The ogre charges across the clearing.
-When the ogre reaches Oswald, cut to a close shot of Oswald's hand as Excalibro is knocked from his hand.
-The close up follows the Excalibro as he twirls through the air and sticks fast in a tree.
-Close up of Oswald, who look over at the sword offscreen and then back at the ogre, who's back can be seen in the corner of the frame.
-Medium shot of Excalibro in the tree. "Come get me you fuggen idiot!"
-Back to the medium shot of Oswald. He dives out of the shot screen left.
-Medium shot, set low to the ground as we see Oswald dive toward the camera and under a log, out f view.
-Medium shot on the ogre, head on, he looks around confused.
-Long crane shot above the clearing, the ogre stumbles about, looking into the treelike for Oswald. Excalibro can be heard yelling from the tree to Oswald. "Where the hell did you go? Shit, I need your help man!"
-Cut during the dialogue, medium shot of Excalibro stuck in the tree.
-Cut to close up of Oswald beneath his log, you can see his face pounding and clearly in a state of indecision as he listens to Excalibro. You can still hear Excalibro shouting: "Listen Oswald! We may have our differences, we really don't agree on a lot of things, but if we wan't to get through this we need to get our shit together and work as a team! Where are you?!"
-Cut back to medium shot of Excalibro in the tree, now struggling to free himself. "You can do it!"
-Cut to the reverse side of Excalibro, looking into the clearing. The sword occupies most of the frame, but it is out of focus. The ogre in the clearing is in focus, and looks over toward Excalibro. It charges toward Excalibro, and the can hear Excalibro begin to shout before the cut.
-Back to the close up on Excalibro stuck in the tree, we see him screaming and we here the ogre charging toward him. "Shiiiiiiiiit!"
-Cut to a close up of the ogre's hand as he swipes out. We still hear Excalibro.
-Back to the medium shot of Excalibro head on in the tree, and just before the ogre's hand swipes through the frame Excalibro is jerked out of the tree by Oswald and leaves the frame.
-Medium shot from a low angle, Oswald runs to the opposite side of the clearing brandishing the sword triumphantly.
-Medium close up of Excalibro in Oswald's hand as they run, Excalibro yells "Hell yeah! Lets do it!"
-Wide shot of the opposite side of the clearing, the ogre turns and roars at Oswald.
-Close up of Oswald, he lowers his knight visor over his face in a determined fashion, yelling a battle cry as he lunges out frame left.
-Medium shot of the ogre charging forward, screen right.
-Medium shot of Oswald charging forward, screen left.
-Close up shot of Excalibro swinging through the air, and a bright flash.
-Medium shot, low angle as Oswald come to a rest on the opposite side of the clearing. The focus shifts to the ogre who is now on the other side, facing away from the camera. After the focus shift, the ogre falls to the ground.
-Crane shot from above the clearing, Oswald and Excalibro can be heard cheering and Oswald dances over to the ogre, stabbing it once for good measure.
-Cut on the action to a medium shot of Oswald pulling the sword, Excalibro, out of ogre as he cheers excitedly.
-Close up on Excalibro, covered in blood. "You did it!!"
-Medium shot of Oswald, Excalibro can be seen in the lower corner. "No. We did it you ass!"
-Cut to a tilt down from a crane shot of the two re-entering the town, carrying the ogre's head. Triumphant music plays over everything.
-The shot cranes down an tilts back up to normal position. As it settles on ground level the legs of the town leader step into view, blocking the right half of the frame.
-Medium shot of the town leader, facing directly screen left from the right. Oswald steps into view and the leader hands him a large sack of coins.
-Wide shot of the two leaving the town, walking away towards a bright horizon. The two can be heard happily talking between themselves. Fade to black.
-Cut to a side-on long shot of Oswald, still mostly silhouette, and he can be heard speaking. At this point he appears to be speaking to himself.
-Cut in closer, a medium shot of Oswald. All of his features can now be seen. He asks "Where are we going now?" and an angry voice can be heard saying "That village up ahead, you idiot! Do you see anything else around?"
